ABOUT Hannah Bladh

Hi friend! Nice to meet you

I love love LOVE painting. In my art I like to romanticize ordinary places and things. I have an ability to see the beauty all around me-even filling up at the gas station, loading my car in the Walmart parking lot, or making breakfast. I try to focus on the joyful and beautiful moments in everyday life-capturing a sunset on the way to the grocery store, or appreciating the way the light is hitting a jar of kitchen utensils. It’s all in effort to be more present, to show gratitude for my little life exactly how it is right now.

I love helping others to see the beauty in the simple things in life. With my art, I help others slow down and remember the good things they have right now in this moment. My paintings are for the sentimental, nostalgic type- for the folks that love to memorialize special moments and places. My paintings help a house feel more like home. They’re relatable and explore the shared feelings that common things can univerally evoke.

I’ve been painting since I was a little kid, but have been more seriously learning and practicing since I started my study of art at BYU-Idaho in 2014. I graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor’s of Art.

about me when I’m not being an artist

I’m married to Chaz Bladh-he’s my #1 cheerleader and my essential support team. We have a sweet baby girl, Olive, and a little pup named Percy, who we both love to pieces. We live in Houston, Texas right now, and we love it.

Some rapidfire fun facts about me: When I’m not painting, I love to go on walks, or just sit on the grass with Percy. My favorite kind of skies are big blue ones, with a few fluffy white clouds. I’ve recently gotten into rollerblading for funsies. Chaz and I love watching good detective/crime sort of shows. I love penguins because they’re totally adorable- it’s the waddle for me. I listen to at least 2 or 3 podcasts a day- usually business or art related. I’m an Enneagram 1, and an INTJ, if you’re into the personality quiz things like me. I love my planner and making lists- probably because I’m a naturally anxious person and it helps me stay sane.
